Dr. Westhof (left) and Technician Shelley Daugherty (right) have raised both Harry and Hero through Power Paws Assistant Dogs. Shelley and her family have been involved with Power Paws for many years and have raised several dogs for this program. Shelley even spent six weeks last summer learning more about assistant dogs, including spending time in a wheel chair to see what it is like for people with disabilities. Harry and Hero are Goldendoodles, brothers, and have and have several siblings that are in the program as well.  |
